What was the name of the tecumseh gear division?

I can't remember it......but they make all the cheap-a--'d aluminum transaxles on just about any rider that costs below $2g to this day........

Starts with an 's'.......this is driving me crazy......

AND......how do YOU pronounce 'Tecumseh'....
I've heard:

Tekumpson

Tekumpsee

Tekumpsuh

Tekumsee

Tekumsen (I said it this way for the longest time....)

(my way) Tekumsuh

Just wondering......kinda like 'hyundai'........LOL (Rhymes with 'Sunday' so it says in their ad.....)

I always called the "Tekumsa" but when I called the main office before they stopped making engines, the lady answered "Thank you for calling Tekumsee."
And no, Briggs & Stratton does NOT own Husqvarna. Husqvarna bought AYP and Peereless transmisions and is now HOP, Husqvarna Outdoor Products.

The last Yardpro pusher I got from Menards had no brand name on the mower, or the box...the box did have HOP stenciled on it...the clue came from the oil bottle enclosed, it was labeled "Husqvarna".

So, if you have a Frigidaire or Husqvarna product that is a lemon, you can be justified in saying it SUCKS...?

(Electrolux is known for vacuums, right?)
