I have a old strap-type tool, it just does not fit in the tight space to give room to turn my hand to get it off. I've seen videos of a tool like this but no link to exact size or part number that fits the filter I have which is 3.23 x 3.15 size. I want one like the picture that you can use a ratchet wrench with from the front to remove. Please, if you have one that works can you send me a link or a part number? Thank you for your time.

Not sure what brand of engine you are running but Briggs came out with a oil filter torque bulletin and then are calling for a 76mm x 14 flute filter wrench. have to check with the local auto parts stores.

You would need either the Lisle 61550 (80 mm) or 61530 ( 82mm) 15 Flute end cap wrench provide your measurement is across the flutes. It which is the diameter on the filter. but if your were then buying the complete set would be better. But if you're a shop then the 21 piece set is a better option.
Or it could be the Lisle 61570 if it is the 76mm 14 flute version.

I wish my local internet would allow me to access Lowe's via Firefox but they denied access. US based and I still get service denials several local businesses.
Anyway that is nice if you not needing torque filter or reuse the filter as it will damage the filter.

I have one similar to both of those. It has saved me headaches more than once. They especially useful on FRAM oil filters. That spay on gripping stuff that FRAM uses will not allow the use of regular cap style sockets.
