i love my zero turn toro, but i hate how many times rear tires spin in wet, muddy ground i have to mow. have to get 4 wheeler to pull out. is there a recommended tire i should use that will keep me going but not trash my yard?

It is either a more agressive type of tyre or a 4WD tractor style mower , the articulated ones are the closest to a ZTR in operation.
Some agricultural ( cheveron - lugged ) tyres will give better traction but you will have to modify the way you use the mower to avoid tearing up soft wet lawns.

Bar tires would help. You would have to pay attention when you turn around. Honestly when I switch to bar tires on my grasshopper, I tore up the lawn less because the tires dont skid near as much.
