I have a Techumseh 6.75HP on a mower. It runs fine for awhile, governor seems to be regulating speed under load, but after awhile when the engine gets hot, the engine speed seems to run away fast, and the governor doesn't seem to close the throttle valve down.
I bought this mower used, but the governor springs don't look like they were tampered with, and the linkages and throttle seem to move freely.
Any thoughts?
