Anyone using the Stihl Br 430 Back Pack blower, would like some opinions on it's performance.

I have one, had it for 2 years, haven't had much problem with expt one time, and it took them a month to figure out what it was, but it's working good now, you would be amazed with the power that thing has, the bad things are: loud, it's much louder then the others 550 and 600, and after a couple hours your shoulders will hurt more then the bigger ones, but overall great blower

I don't know if this would be useful to you or not. Now the thing is I'm looking to replace my BR 380 which is older than dirt and the 430 is really close in comparison. The BR 380 is a 56.5cc engine 465 cfm at the nozzle @ 181 mph and a 73db noise rating. The BR 430 is a 63.3 cc 2 stroke engine and has a CFM rating of 500 cfm / air flow rate at the nozzle @183 mph and a 76db noise rating according the the Stihl site, so there just real close. What to do??

The Stihl BR 430 is a great machine. I would say that its large fuel tank was one of its best features as it allows the machine to run for longer periods of time. Allows you to complete a good amount of work.
