sthil hedge trimmer

i have three sthil hs56ce trimmers,one is over a year old and two are 6mo old. they all continue to serge when the warm up. when giving gas the rpms rev up and down,i have taken to a sthil dealer and they just replace the fuel filter and test it and say that they cannot duplicate failure,i dont know if there is a carb issue or what or its just a bad model, i e-mail sthil about problem they havent got back to me, does any one have any suggestions? i have an echo,tanaka and kawasaki trimmer and they run fine ,should i put an ethanol stabilizer in them,why are they so touchy? when my other equipment runs fine on the oil/fuel mixture blowers,pole saws and line trimmers ect...

Are you using non-ethanol gas or putting ethanol stabilizer in it ? Is your fuel / oil mixture right ?

Ethanol in gas can make a big difference in the way small engines run.

If your dealer has no solution - their mechanic isn't worth much (just my opinion) !

If all three are doing it I am thinking fuel mix. Also I agree with above a good mechanic could fix

i get my gas at circle-k, should i use a fuel stabilizer?these are the only equipment i have that are problems,my tanaka,echo,and kawasaki trimmers along withe my blowers and lintrimmers run fine with my mixture,

Fuel stabilizer will not hurt anything and may solve some problems. The Stihl uses 50/1 fuel and may not run too well on mix with more oil in it.
