Steering Link Rod Bushing

Hi again, y'all. Still stuck in steering. Cant find any reference to the item Id, In the workshop manual it talks of a bushing in the steering gear end of the link rod. can any one tell me if partno 741-0660A is that bush, if not what is. ?

The 741-0660A is the front spindle axle bushings. If I remember correctly you need the 741-0475 bushing for the drag links that uses a bushing but note some don't use this bushing and just have a smaller hole where it is just metal on metal.

hey Star, tell me if you reckon I should have a new 738- 04141 shoulder bolt and nut when i replace the steering gear, i must say hard to get and costly for os delivery. Does it wear much. Oh and Happy Easter

Normally I would check it for wear first. If worn then yes I would have ordered with the other parts.

Yes even at the 3.99 list price it is expensive but many places are higher and some will be including shipping costs. There has a fair amount price increase since December on parts in general. Even at my MTD distributor the part costs 2.90 ea. As for the nut it is a common flange head, nylon lock item that I buy in bulk.

Just note the price file here on my system indicates that the SKU was only created back in 3/2019 so it appears to be a fairly new item.
