SRM-225i blade kit or just arbor

Howdy, I inherited a SRM-225i from my Dad. I had an old SRM-2400 but I swapped it for the newer model during the estate sale. I need to put a blade on it to take down heavy stemmed weeds. However, I don't seem to have the right arbor and parts to use the 22 tooth blade I already have (from the 2400). I have found the "Blade Conversion Kit" that Echo sells, but it seems to have a bunch of things I don't really need - or do I?

Should I just get the kit, knowing it will work or can I just buy the arbor parts somewhere and nothing else?

Instead of purchasing an entire kit, have you tried going to a good echo dealer/repair shop and find out if the have the parts you need in stock. May be able to buy just the parts you need or you might need a kit anyway. Can’t hurt to ask.
