When the gear explodes in the gear case it's time consuming and messy to clean out the grease and bronze filings. Break cleaner doesn't really work well and gets expensive. So today it put the parts in a small container and poured in boiling hot water and it melted the grease and I was able to clean out all the grease and bronze bits using the blow gun . It just melted away and not the melted grease and bits are somewhere in the atmosphere but the housing is crystal clean and done on the cheap.
