I have a Poulan Pro lawn tractor with a CVT General Transmission (RS800). From neutral, moving the lever back, the mower moves in reverse, as it should. When the lever is moved forward, the mower moves in reverse too. The more you move the lever forward, the faster it goes, in reverse. Any ideas? I've been working on mowers for over 30 years and have seen this scenario. Thanks.

I'm having a RS800 transmission issue, CAM is blocking?
Inability to move forward, but Neutral and Reverse work.
Is this from some safety issue, checking for neutral before allowing forward movement?
Would a new control kit fix this type of issue? Poulan Pro PP19A42 transmission RS800.
Forward/Reverse pedal moves variation control linkage (control cam?) on top of the RS800 General Transmission, guided by (cam?) plastic guide.
Is this an issue with the rotating cam, or something broken that would be fixed with a new control kit?
Any ideas on what to look for to troubleshoot the cause? Thank you.
