Normally this mower can sit for weeks and it still cranks right up. Used it the other day to mow our entrance to the property with no issue. Started with no issue. The next day started right up also. Turn it off for a bit to pick up some trash came back and got a "clunk, clunk" when trying to start. I did put a charger on it and after 30 minutes went back and it cranked fine. Parked it and checked it out in the morning only to get the "clunk, clunk" again when trying to turn it over. Battery is 2020 so I picked up another one. Does not appear to be the issue. I can see it turning over a bit, but never gets pass the "clunk" sound.
I would guess now it would be the starter?

Make sure the motor mounts bolts are tight, they will cause a clunking noise when starting and shutting off, and in some cases can prevent cranking due to loss of ground.
