Does anyone know what material the John Deere mulching plug is made of? It is some kind of black plastic. Mine has a hole in it about 5" x 2" that is getting larger. I'd like to patch it. It'll require two 90 degree bends two inches or so apart. I'm thinking some kind of plastic that maybe I could bend or heat & bend & then glue 20200103_174256.jpg over the hole. Any ideas.

Most likely it is HDPE plastic which there is no glue or epoxy that will work, can be heat welded however that will take an experienced plastic welder as if over heated to becomes even more brittle. Now if it is ASB plastic then there is an epoxy for mending it.

Note when I no glue or epoxy for HDPE I mean that economical to purchase as it is a commercial product for OEMs to use in their factories even then it is extremely expensive.
