Quantum 675 starting problems

I have a briggs quantum engine that is running poorly. The engine refuses to start when warm. Being ready start equipped I checked for proper choke operation. The choke is held open and functioning normally after running for a few minutes. I have cleaned the carb with no improvement. The engine also hunts ever so slightly. am in need of a new carb or is there something more serious such as a burnt valve. I plan on taking the mower to the shop this week.

after it gets nice and hot and shuts off and then wont start or just starts for a few second and shuts off its usually your ign coil , just check to see if it has spark once it starts acting up

Instead of coil it could be the metal supressor cap on end of coil lead if fitted.
A spark tester is the best tool.
Sometimes just pulling off the cap and fitting a new terminal might fix it.
If not is the ready start adjusted properly?
