I picked this up today for $160, starts on the first pull, the self propelled works great, only thing wrong is the electric start does not engage more than it does.

When I was a kid I cut a lot of lawns and most people had me used their mowers. Two of my customers had lawn boys and they were always my favourite and I was disappointed once I became a homeowner last year that they no longer made lawn boys with a 2 stroke engine and the offset wheel. I was using a crummy Yard Works mower up until this opportunity to buy a nice lawn boy came up so long story short I couldn't be happier.

I think I am going to learn a lot about how to care for and service these mowers now that I finally own one. First step is to take off the starter motor and figure out if I can get that working. I think it may just be really gunked up.

I cleaned it up and fixed the starter today. It not working was a combination of it being gummed up and missing a bolt.

Took a video of the post repair startup.
