Poulan Pro P54z electrical issues

I have a poulan pro p54z (zero turn) that i replaced the motor starts great but when i take the brake off it dies. i have replaced all of the safety devices and pto switch and there is not change still dies when brake is taken off. looking for any help and electrical drawing for this mower to resolve the issue. thanks

Not able to find just a P54Z but did find a P54ZX.

What engine did you use to replace the original ?
Were they the same ?
Or was there some rewiring ?
Only 2 things will stop the engine dead
Something grounding the coil or something de-energizing the carb solenoid
One is a ground circuit problem the other is a power wire problem
Start by working out which one it is
The 4 prong safety switches come NO-NC and NC-NO.
They look identical but of course work backwards
From the diagram Star posted it looks like a wrong brake switch would cause symptoms you are describing .

Depends. Hopefully you didn't jumper it or simply unplug it.

And you got to be carefully on them as there are different versions out there. I had a customer that someone replace one switch. He was mowing his lawn when he was knock off his rider by a tree limb. The mower continued mowing right into the side of his wife's brand new car. Ouch! At least it wasn't my fault but the other fellow had a lawsuit against him by the insurance company. Never heard if it is settle yet.
