The bushings in the steering gear are worn allowing too much movement in the steering arms causing over steer problems. repaired more than one of those problems on the john deere L series over the years. probably has a toe out appearance when the steering wheel is straight right,

With the title of this thread being "over steer," I thought maybe bigjohn's JD was loose in the corners! :laughing:
