Old Cub Cadets

I've been working on a basket case Cub Cadet 124 (about 1965) for 5 years now. This summer will be it's near virgin first run. I'm going to use it for snow plow and pulling small implements. My much newer 2048 Cub just isn't built to do that kind of work.

Old Cubs are 'real' garden tractors, they were built to last, and be repaired not thrown away.
I have a 35 year old 1450 that is very dependable and cuts grass like it did when it was a new. KennyV

My dad fixes lawn mowers and then sells them. I laughed at him until some guy came and went ga ga over a mower he had for sale. Said he hadn't seen one in that good of shape in years. Good luck with the mowing!

I have a 1210 that I've has since new and have no plans on getting rid of it. Just sold a 2166 and a 1641. I like stuff I can work on myself.

I have 2 cub models a 104 and a 129 both are working regularly to keep the garden tight and yard mowed. Of Course they are not alone in the arsenal. I have plenty of work for my arsenal of mower/tractors to handle.

Would any of you know off-hand what the rear wheel bolt circle and lug size is on the rear wheels of an older CC, I know it is 5 lug. I've got some excellent 15" X 205 Lug tires, and would like to find a way to put them on my 124.

4 1/2 on 5 bolt pattern with a 7/16 stud or bolt. KennyV
