Oil gusher

[Mower freak]

Hi. I have a series 28 12.50HP Briggs and Stratton engine on a ride on mower. It has stopped working and now when I crank it over a lot of oil spurts from the oil dip stick hole. Any ideas what has happened?

The float valve in the carb has failed so the fuel tank contents has drained into the sump
You will need to fix the carb then drain the oil cold, refill run the engine for 5 minutes then drain again
Alternatively are there "little people" around your place who may have decided to "help daddy" and poured heaven knows what down the fill tube ?
