after several different engines came in with head gasket problems I called briggs and after a 30 min. talk we decided that after following the book to the T the only possible solution was the head and/or block was warped
so i took a peel and stick p320 da sand paper and stuck it on my drill press table and resurfsed the head and block it turned out it was worse than i thought ill post pics when i can

Huh? Most of the OHV push mower head gasket problems I've found were due to overheating or detonation under load with 87 octane fuel (Kawasaki). I suppose it IS possible to have a warped head but so far, I haven't seen it.
