What gap have you set for the coil/flywheel? Are you using a spark test or the spark plugs to check for ignition? To test for spark the engine must spin at approx 300rmp.

Re: NO SPARK KAWASAKI FB460V

you cant get a spark with the wire disconnected from the coil! That wire serves several purposes depending on your setup. It shuts down the engine via the on off switch/ignition switch or any safety switches that your machine is equipped with. That wire is connected to the coil at one end and then connects to the control unit (also know as igniter) located on the side of the engine. The wire will have a splice either at the spade connector on the igniter where the wire from the coil connects or nearby on that wire. The spliced wire is the kill wire that shuts the engine down. The wires are connected to each other and share the single wire leading to the coil. THE IGNITER IS A COMPLEX DEVICE THAT CAUSES THE COIL TO DISCHARGE HIGH VOLTAGE TO THE SPARK PLUG.
