I have a Stihl HS85 hedge trimmer and I can't get the muffler off to see if the intake is clogged. I removed the two hex screws going through the muffler face and the other hex screw that can be seen from above the trimmer that goes through an ear on the muffler and attaches it to the main body. The muffler still won't budge. It feels like there is another bolt or two holding it, but where are they? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks to all...

it's probably has some rust on it holding it on rust can be a fairly good adhesive. spray it down with PB blaster or another penetrating fluid of your choice and let it sit and try pulling it off again. it might take quite a few squirts and patience, and if possible LIGHTLY tap it with a hammer.

If possible run it as is, that is, with bolts out or very loose.
Muffler will work its way off due to vibration and expansion and contraction.
You'll know it when it breaks free.
