Mountfield 625M (EL 63M) 2003

Hoping to get some help. My farther-in-law has a mountfield Ride on 625M EL 63 M and is having trouble getting traction. Not sure how to explain the issues to have taken a video. At first it looked like chain slip but realised the whole chain and diff spinning. Anyway someone said about shimming the discs or something..... Any ideas or documentation that may offer some help?

Edit: Reverse works fine, but as soon as there is anything other than plat path in forward it just skips

Can't be of any help probably as this is an European mower but sounds like something is sheared either in the differential or drive axles. Have you recently had one of the rear wheels off? If so you might be missing an axle key.
