I just bought a 1979 model R7268 via an ad on CraigsList -- only $20, so even if it ends up being a parts mower, I got a good deal.
There's no gas in the tank and the starter is stiff and binding. However, the compression seems good.
The deck and wheels are in very good condition considering the age of the mower. That indicates that it may not have that many hours of use.
I have high hopes for this mower. It's a close cousin to one of my favorite mowers, a 1977 model 7266.
