Mate,
The people who pay me to fix there mowers are currently waiting 5 weeks for a repair and about 2 days for a reply to a phone call.
Perhaps people who are getting advice FOR FREE could wait more than a day ?
Now what is the part number of the replacement coils and where did you get them from ?
Do you know how the system works ?
How strong were the magnets inside the flywheel ? They should be strong enough to hold up a 8" monkey wrench.
What is the engine powering ?
Does it have a generator as well or just the points under the flywheel ?
Which points eliminator are you using ?
The parts were purchased from tewarehouse @ tewinc.com
The replacement coil is an Oregon #33-362 and the original part number is 298502
The magnets are good
The engine is a 3 1/2 hp powering a lawnmower
It does not have a generator
The points were eliminated many years ago with an electronic ignition, I don't know who it was made by. I replaced it with an Omega #29-1089. I have tried it with the old and new and there is no spark with either one.
