Hey folks

Have a Makita 4 stroke blower model BHX2500

Has had problems in the past bogging down, hard starting.

New carb, hoses, plug and fuel filter installed, fresh fuel.

Worked perfect...then

A few weeks later (used like 3 times) is playing up again, hard starting and bogging down, and if it dies while operating it takes ages to get it going again.

Checked spark plug arrester and exhaust for carbon build it, all ok.

Air filter fine, tested blower with it off as well, no difference.

Tried adjusting the carb, no difference.

It will happily run at 1/4 throttle, but bogs down and dies when given more. So weird given it was all fine with the new gear installed.

Any suggestions appreciated!

You have a faulty ignition module. Had one a few years back that I had to contact Dolmar tech support due to it would run for about 20 minutes and then would bog down like running out of fuel, but would idle fine if your released the trigger. Had something to due with the electronics that controls the spark advance. I will also give you a heads up, the module cost almost as much as a new blower.
