Mower deck LT4000 14 HP 42" deck

First time posting so am new to this thread. I need to know what length of belt I need to drive the deck. The old one shredded so can not get any info from it. The model # 944.603340 and Serial # 1125925. I gather that it was built on Nov 25 1992. Correct me if I am wrong. One site I found said that older than 1995 uses an 88 inch belt and newer than 1995 uses an 95' belt. A dealer had given me an 87" belt which I could not get on the pulleys. So I think I need the 95" belt. Am I right?
