Looking to buy used hrx217vka

I am looking at purchasing a used hrx217vka that was only used for one season. I am not sure if the original owner registered the unit or has the original receipt. Would I still be able to register the machine with Honda to use whatever is left on the warranty?

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when checking out the mower?

Also what do you think is a fair price or it? He is asking $400 right now.

Yes, I think you can get the remaining warranty. :thumbsup: Also, I think that price is decent.....since the MSRP is $700.

Any remaining factory warranty stays with the mower when sold. If you'll share the serial number with me, I can look it up and see if or when the mower was registered, and how much, if any, factory warranty might remain on the unit; here's where to find the serial number:

I would not buy one until this problem is fixed. I offered to sell mind back to Honda at a reduced price. If you live close to me let me know how much you would pay for a new model used 3 times. It is very easy to say bad gas and Honda does not cover this problem. My 4 year old Toro cranks on 1st pull. Until this problem I really loved cutting with this Honda mower, but honestly I can not afford to take it back every 3 or 4 weeks. I will tell my dealer tomorrow to check and see if mine had or has a recall on the auto choke. Thanks for the information.
