The engine is B&S Model 196402/ Type 016501/ Code 9609041A. Replacing the head on our leaf blower after freeing a stuck valve and one of the normal headed head bolts is 9/16" longer (3 9/16" vs 3") than the others.
I did not notice the difference when I took it apart and I now don't see any reason for it being longer.
The longer one appears to thread into all of the holes for that type of bolt without appearing to bottom out and the parts diagrams that I have found just lists bolt part numbers and lengths and not where they specifically go.
Any thoughts?
