The Briggs and Stratton manual lists a long life spark plug number 5066. How long can i expect this plug to last? The manual recommends a standard plug change after 100 hours.

Personal opinion here. I don't think the platinum long life plugs in mowers is worth the extra cost. If the engine is run mainly in the plug self cleaning temp range and not fouling plugs then the long life plugs could last many years. If no then the LL plugs will carbon foul like a standard plug. If engine gets annual maint i would just change regular plugs every year. The magneto ignition on mowers is low energy so plug wear is relatively insignificant.
