Just got a used Cub Cadet i1040 zero turn from a friend. Letting off the forward control pedal going full speed the back wheels will lock up and skid in gravel like I'm stepping on the brakes. The black park brake rocker switch on the dash seems broken and i can't figure out what the rod behind it goes to.

I'm here searching for the same answer for my XT2 GX54 FAB D. If I'm cutting and slow down to backup, I will often pop a wheelie due to how quickly it breaks. If I'm going forward and stop, it stops hard. I took it to an authorized dealer who told me that's just what hydrostatic transmissions do, which is untrue. I've had this mower for about a year and a half (about 90 hours) and started having this trouble about six months ago. Were you able to get an answer from anyone on this issue.
