Repairs LawnBoy Won't Settle Down; Runs at Wide Open with No Throttle Control

HI. Thanks for any advice.
I have a LawnBoy Series Pro DynaForce 6.5 Engine. When I start it up, the governor will not do anything and the engine runs at wide open. I have no throttle control to bring the run speed down.
My guess is the throttle linkage is not connected properly.
Any advice or experience with this before?

Well my guess is that the air vane is stuck if you reach your hand under the flywheel on top of the front of the carb where that sping is hooked on to and see if it moves or not thay may fix it diagrams are all over the net partstree has a good one you can zoom in and out

Thank you for the reply. The vane and the coil spring are both toast. Time to order parts.
