My old Lawnboy is really hard to start. Even priming the engine does not work all the time. Once is is started, it runs great. Any ideas?
plus, I can't find my model, model 5126 on the Lawnboy site to get a manual.

Thank you.

If my memory is still working, your 5126 unit is an F-series Lawn Boy. This manual should help you. I would start by removing the carb and give it a good cleaning. Don't forget the idle jet on the side. When reassembling, replace the float needle and seat. Part number 92-9697.

Replace the top and bottom crank seals. The old hardened seals leak and suck air, which leans out the mixture that shows up as hard starting a cold motor.
