I think it would be hard to put a solid number on it's value. The fact that it runs makes it worth more than a non-runner and of course, condition is everything.
Just like anything else, it's all about supply and demand. Another factor: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A picture post is always appreciated by the forum members.

It looks pretty good for its age. Without looking it over thoroughly, I would give you a rough estimate of $150-$200. If I was in the market for one, that might be the top dollar that I would pay for it. Maybe someone else would pay more and I'm sure many would offer a lot less.

Any other forum members care to chime in?

By the way, I personally like the fact that the decal looks to be in good shape. That is just one of the things that attracts me when I consider buying a classic Lawn Boy. It looks like it has a lot of it's original paint and I like that too. When I buy them, I like to use them, so a bit of aging or a few scars doesn't bother me.

On a good day it could go for as much as $400.00, but that would be auction and two or more serious bidders. I think it would be hard to get over $200.00 for it otherwise. E-bay might be your best place to sell if you will ship it. If listed as local pickup only, you will limit bidders.

My grandfather owned a small engine repair shop and also was a dealer for Toro/Lawnboy and Snapper for over 45 years and he just recently passed away. I was going through one of the old houses that he purchased around the shop and stumbled across the same model that you have, tucked away in the corner. I would love to get it running and am no stranger to working on mowers, but I have absolutely no idea on where to start with this one. The engine turns over and has compression so it isn't blown, does anyone have experience with these engines or have a link to a shop manual? Sorry to hijack your thread, I can create a new one if you would like :)
