i have additional info about the mower.

with briggs & stratton engine

i need to find a manual for this and some advise.

Briggs manual are few and far between on the web. Post you problem and we will try to help.

the mower starts but with diffuculty. the battery does not charge while running, and it stalls oout when the blade deck is engaged. i live at 4500 ft alt

I would start by rebuilding the carb and get it running smooth to engage the deck. Then we'll work on the charging problem.
