Hi. I have a Kohler XT-6 149 cc series engine on a Lawn Boy mower. It starts well with its pull starter, but it will run only for a moment and will then shut off. It will not start at all for a couple of minutes afterwards, but will start and then stop again after that period. I can get it to stay on and idle at low speed if I block the air intake almost completely. I can vary the idle speed somewhat with slight adjustments to the blockage. I assume that the carburetor needs adjusting. Can anyone advise? Thanks.
