This Tractor I believe is about 20 years old. The carb has never been touched, but I think it is in my future.
It was running rough so I gave it a can of Sea Foam. It ran great for a day. Then today I put some fresh gas in it (premium E free), Now it Idles great but at full throttle it stalls. I have to run it with the choke pulled out a little bit. I think it is a Nikki carb. 1 Barrel. It has a new gas filter and NGK plugs from last year. I don't run this tractor all the time. Maybe once a month. It starts up and after the blue cloud clears, It's good to go. I am guessing it is time to take the carb off and take it apart and give it a good cleaning. BUT.....the carb kit is over a 100 dollars ???!!! The carb it self is over 300???!!! The knock off carbs are 30 to 40 dollars at the bay. Can anything be reused on this carb like gaskets? Please share your thoughts and send me in the right direction. Thanks , Matt.
