hello-
im new and let me thank you for letting me join -i apologize in advance if i do something wrong in my post-
i own a 2007 jd 737 that i bought new-i will start by saying i abused this machine -after 1100 hrs the oil pressure dropped and needed a new engine-i purchased a new fh680d so8-s engine to replace the original fh680 d -
the change over involves swinging the exhaust, clutch ,starter with selonoid ,wire harnesses , voltage regulator ,front shaft for transmission and the oil sending unit-
to stop the old engine rotation during breakdown i filled a cylinder with 3/8 cotton rope (not happy about that)-on the swing over of parts to new engine i was forced to do the same (very unhappy)-
my questions are do i need dialectic grease in the harness connection which i cleaned with air and spray electric cleaner -
what is the purpose of the clutch anti rotation rod bolted on the old block that was inches away from clutch but didnt seem to have any purpose-i will install it to be safe but curious
thank you
