John Deere L110 Automatic —Governor

Messed up my 17.5 Kolher Command messing with the Governor. Ran just fine before messing with it. What is the correct way to set it back? I’ve tried holding throttle wide open and turning shaft counter clockwise and still just wide open rpms. Any help would be greatly appreciated..Need to mow!

You turn the governor shaft in the same direction that the shaft rotates when the throttle is moved from idle to full speed. that could be clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the engine.

Ok thanks man. While havin it full throttle correct? And holding the arm all the way open?

And rotate it all the way till it stops ?
