Fuel guage float stays partly submeged and provides false reading. Exchanged with a new one under warranty with same results. Removed the fuel guage and submerged it in a clear bottle of water and float floats to the top. Exchaned water with gasoline and float stays partly submerged. Is there anything that can be added or changed to make the plastic float more bouyant? What was wrong with the old cork floats?

Maybe try to modify...and replace the existing float with a cork type style?....see if that makes the difference?

Good luck!

If not then......
