Hey there, I'm considering bidding on a defective Husqvarna CTH182T at auction because I think it might go for very little and my budget is really tight. Total newbie though, so wondering what the worse case scenario for repairs (done by technician) would be. It's not the belt as listing says it has new ones. Could it still be something simple? If something complex, what kind of repair cost are we talking about, anyone know? I get that without know-how it might not be the best idea, but that's why I'm posting here... Appreciate any advice.

This is almost impossible to answer, it could be a .50 cent nut to $1000 haydrostatic transmission, if it runs but will not move pay very little for it, and since you will take it to shop to be fixed you might not want to buy it.

I'd stay away unless you can perform at least moderate wrenching yourself. IPL shows Hydro Gear 321-0510. It may be totally shot. A new one is $600+. I'd bet it's an entry level unit that doesn't like slopes or towing at all.
