Homelite 20680 Trimmer Carburetor Adjustment

I’m trying to get this old Homelite trimmer running smoother (bogs down when I open the throttle more than a little bit) and when I looked at the fuel adjustment screws, the high side looks a little odd. It’s just a solid pin, and there doesn’t seem to be anything behind it that I can adjust. The low side is a normal screw-type adjustment.
Does anybody know how I can adjust this?

Haven’t seen one of those in years, but if my memory is still any good, you need to remove the white plastic liminator cover first. Most times carbs with your symptoms have problems with the low speed circuit. Might help to open the low speed mixture screw, but most times the circuit it clogged and you’ll have to clean and rebuild the carb.

I just rebuilt the carb to eliminate some leaky gaskets, and cleaned everything out really well while I was in there. I'll try adjusting the low speed and see what happens.

You cleaned the carb without removing that limiter cap? What was the carb make and number and what rebuild kit did you use? May have gotten the wrong kit.

It was a quick cleaning, I just sprayed everything down within the carburetor to get rid of any debris. It was surprisingly clean already. I didn't soak it or anything.
It's a Zama H39-79A.
