Home Depot mower protection plan

Has anyone had experience with using the Home Depot protection plan for repairs on riding lawn mowers?
The wording says it takes effect after the standard warranty. In particular I want to know if the mower has a repair needed that is covered by the manufacturer shortly after purchase, will HD pick up the mower and have it repaired?

If you are an insurance salesman then they are great
If you are a customer they are a fraud, all of the extended warranty are frauds not just Home Depot .
Just a sneaky way to increase the retail price .
If it don't break in the first few months then it is not a manufacturing defect so not covered.

They don’t just cover manufacturing defects.

I read the warranty. A lot of legaleese but it says if it "breaks" they will fix it with no deductible.it also states you have to go through Asurion insurance company. Looks like the standard "you are better off saving the money and have it fixed yourself" warranty to me.
