Homda GCV 160 spark plug boot attachment

I am unable to remove boot from spark plug. On other lawnmowers I can easily pull it off. But on this one there is something metal that attaches to the boot and screwed on to spark plug thread. I can't unscrew it with it being attached to the boot. Looked in the manual and there are no pictures for it as it just says to remove the boot. How can I unscrew the boot

Nope it just pulls directly off
Some can really stick on hard
