  • / Hayter 48 with screw height adjustment needs new roller bearings
Hello all from Cheshire, UK. I bought a fairly old Hayter Harrier 48 and it seems quite a rarity in that it has a screw (a bit like a tap / fawcett) to adjust height rather than the more common (and more modern) lever system. I need to replace the roller bearings as the roller is flapping around in the wind a bit (!) and can find a YouTube video on doing this (
) but only on the lever adjustment model. I'm a bit concerned I'll dislodge a strong spring and not have a specialist tool to fix it back or some calamity like that! Could anyone advise on whether this is a reasonably straight forward job for somewhat with a modicum of intelligence and experience or is is something to leave be or get professional help with? Is there anything in particular to look out for and how similar will it be to the YouTube version? ...is it easier or more difficult on the screw height model vs the lever height model?

Many thanks for any advice :)
