Hi this is Nick and Im new to the forum. Recently I've been looking at these two mowers to buy, they both would be a 52 inch deck with a Kawasaki motor. My dad and I cut lawns with a john deere tractor and we do landscaping jobs as a side job. Im going to college in the fall for landscaping, and I plan on expanding what I can cut with a zero turn mower. The gravely I can get from my mom's friend at a dealership for 7300. The Toro I can get a dealership for 6899. Im looking to get more lawn cutting jobs so I need something that cuts good wet and dry and can stripe the grass good. I just need something I can start with thats on the cheaper side, to just start off and later I would move up to a scag mower. Thanks for all your advice and recommendations in advance. If you have any pictures of these mowers cutting or the stripes I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all your input Nick.

I run the Toro Z-Master 2000 48" and can tell you I've never had a problem cutting in wet conditions and wet for me is about three quarters of the time. I've never had an issue with the deck discharging grass or anything like that. I like the warranty that Toro offers, I don't think you can beat them. The 2000 has a 4 year 500 hour warranty, the gravely has a 2yr commercial.

Thanks for your information Ric, have you had any issues with your mower yet?

Purchased it August 24th 2014 and never had issues with the mower. Put 124 hrs on it in three months and its been great. Has a super nice cut. I've got three Toro mowers, The GS the Z-Master and Turf-Master and the only thing I've ever replaced has been belts on the TM and GS and of course oil filters and such.
