I've determined that the plants invading my lawn are Black Eyed Susans. This makes perfect sense because my wife had them in an adjacent planting bed several years back. They never flower because I've been mowing them. I've done search after search and I can't find a clear cut plan for getting rid of them. All of my searches turn up ways to keep and care for them. I'm hoping I don't have to take out my whole lawn just to get rid of them.
