If you replace your gas filter make sure it is large enough. I just repaired a Bolens 14 HP and when I was done it would run bad when mowing grass. I had just changed the fuel filter with a small paper one I had laying around witch I found this was a mistake. I installed a new larger paper one and problem solved.

Your right.. filters may look similar but their filter porosity, media size and surface area will determine how much fuel will pass through in any given time...
Also some filters are rated with gravity flow and others with a pump pushing fuel through... :smile:KennyV

Yes I found this out the hard way with a comeback repair. This is what I enjoy about the repair business always learning something new and no two jobs alike.
