exmark peerless tran

I think the tran is gone on my 36 metro exmark. I am trying to remove the tran and have gotten the belt pouley off underneath and removed the 4 bolts. But I cannot see how to gethe shafts that come off the tran free so i can remove the tran. I have been very gentle as a hammer is my favorite tool and>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

So please Help

You need to take out the bolts holding the bearing in the frame of the mower, when you do you can pull the shafts out some and the couplers for the shaft to transmission shaft should come off. What make you think the trans is shot? Where are you in NC?

Pulley fell off and when i put it back I noticed the shaft, from the tran, had play, a bunch.
