Was working on a Dixie Chopper Magnum replacing the wiring harness. When I was finishing up and hooking the battery cables back up and I connected the negative cable I got a spark. Well now I says that ain't right I should get no spark. Commest To checking for the drain on the battery. I found it was the solenoid causing the slight drain on the battery. Replaced it and no more drain on the battery. Go figure I had never seem that one before and I have been doing this along time.

It happens more often than you would think. I’m willing to bet good money that you will find that about 25% of the units which come in for repair will show signs of the battery being slowly drained by something.
