I have Cub Cadet with a 24hp Kohler than smokes bad. I also have a Craftsman with a 20 hp Kohler. Both are twin cylinder engines. Could I put the one from the Craftsman on The Cub Cadet?

They should swap strait over if they both have the same diameter PTO shafts
HP means nothing model & serial numbers are what is important .
The two engines will probably have different mufflers so you might need to do a bot of frigging around as the muffler is a Cub / Craftsman part not necessarily a Kohler part and some times you need to make up some new mounting brackets .
